Job description

Commercial Gas Engineer

We are seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to work across the North West region. Our client provides comprehensive solutions for installation, service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of HVAC systems, including commercial boilers, heating systems, mechanical plant equipment, air conditioning, and chillers.

Their client portfolio includes long-standing relationships with companies such as David Lloyd Leisure, Vue Cinemas, Cineworld, Tate & Lyle, Radisson Hotels, Hilton, and Malmaison.

Position Details - Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £38,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and skills
• Company Van (optional for personal use)
• Profit share scheme after 12 months: Up to £3,600 tax-free
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• 40-hour workweek, travel paid after 30 mins each way
• On-call allowance (1 in 4/5, £1,200 guaranteed; travel paid door-to-door if called out)
• Pension scheme
• Holiday entitlement: 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years
• Company uniform, phone, and PDA provided

Responsibilities

The Commercial Gas Engineer must hold valid ACS Commercial Gas Tickets and be able to service the listed clients across the region. Daily tasks include planned and reactive service and maintenance, responding to breakdowns, fault finding, and repairs to Commercial Boilers, Gas appliances, and Mechanical equipment in plant rooms.

Minimum Requirements

• Commercial Gas Tickets (CODNCO1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1)
• NVQ in Heating & Ventilation
• Ideally F-Gas or Safe Handling Certification
• Residency in the North West region
