Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 45 Hours Per Week

Salary: £46,865 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment) + Overtime + Travel Time

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC) to join our team, working with a major UK supermarket client. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across retail stores, maintaining and repairing commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. Regular store visits for reactive work, PPMs, and minor repairs are also required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
• Servicing and repairing mechanical equipment such as boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, and FCUs.
• Performing minor alterations and installations within technical competence, following current specifications.
• Ordering spares according to procedures.
• Identifying non-repairable faults and advising supervisors with recommendations for replacements.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent.
• ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A).

Desirable but not essential:

• ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications (CCN, CENWAT, CPA).
• City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.
• City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.

Candidate Profile

• Flexible to be part of a 24/7 on-call rota (every 1:4 weeks).
• Full driving license.
• Experience with PDA systems.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Experience in retail environment maintenance.
