Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: On site at Rolls-Royce Derby

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Role Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out PPM and Reactive Activities across various commercial premises on our Rolls-Royce contract in Derby.

Applicants should have experience with Domestic and Commercial Gas systems. Ideally, candidates will also possess plumbing skills along with relevant commercial experience. The role involves assisting with reactive and PPM tasks, as well as demonstrating core combustion skills.

This is a hands-on role suitable for an individual who can work independently, with a proactive approach to all tasks. The ideal candidate is a conscientious, reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum qualifications: COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT, and relevant domestic qualifications.
2. Strong knowledge of current gas regulations.
3. Experience with a variety of commercial and domestic appliances and installations.
4. Extensive technical skills with at least 3 years of experience in fault finding and rectification in a commercial setting.
5. Knowledge of major manufacturers such as Valliant Powermatic, Riello, Broag, Combat, Ambi-Rad, Ideal, Potterton, Nu Way, and Worcester.
6. Good understanding of heating systems, with desirable knowledge of controls/BMS.
7. Proficient plumbing skills.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible approach to work and client requirements. Willingness to work out of hours and participate in the callout rota.
9. Full UK driving license is essential.
