Job description

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially driven Commercial Funding Manager to take ownership of our post-sale funding process, ensuring customer funding is approved and received as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, results-driven position focused on managing the funding journey from signed customer contract through to successful payment.

Working closely with approved third-party brokers, lenders and internal teams, you will be responsible for progressing funding applications, resolving delays and ensuring funds are received by the business efficiently.

A key focus will be improving cash flow, reducing funding costs and identifying opportunities to streamline processes.

This is not a traditional finance or accounting role. We are looking for someone who understands commercial lending, takes ownership of outcomes and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You will manage the end-to-end post-sale funding process, ensuring applications progress smoothly from contract signature through to funding approval, drawdown and cash received.
• This will involve working closely with third-party brokers and lenders, coordinating funding applications, collecting and verifying documentation, including KYC requirements, and proactively resolving any issues that could delay payment.
• You will assess suitable funding routes through approved providers, including business loans, iWalker and Premium Credit, while minimising reliance on higher-cost funding options.
• You will also monitor funding performance, improve time-to-cash, maximise successful cash conversion and identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
• We are looking for a commercially minded individual with experience in commercial finance, business lending, funding operations or brokerage support.
• You will have a strong understanding of business lending products, lender requirements and funding documentation, including KYC and AML processes.
• Experience managing relationships with brokers and lenders is highly desirable, alongside excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple funding cases simultaneously.
• You must be a confident communicator who is comfortable chasing outstanding information, overcoming challenges and working towards measurable performance targets.
• Above all, we are looking for someone who is proactive, accountable and motivated by delivering results.
