Commercial Finance Manager

Venture Recruitment Partners are supporting a growing organisation in the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager . This is a highly visible role, partnering with senior operational leaders to drive commercial performance, improve decision-making and support continued business growth.

Working across a complex operational environment, you will provide commercial insight, challenge, and analysis to influence profitability, contract performance, and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to drive business performance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Deliver insightful reporting and analysis on revenue, margins, costs, and profitability.
• Support contract reviews, commercial decision-making, and tender activity.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop meaningful financial models to support strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting, and financial processes.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent level.
• Proven experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within Integrated Facilities Management, Construction, or another contract-led service environment.
• Deep understanding of contract performance, cost control, margin management, and working capital
• Strong understanding of contract WIP, revenue, cost accruals, billing, and their relationship to contract performance
• Demonstrable experience using commercial insight to influence operational decisions and improve contract profitability and cash conversion
• Highly analytical, with advanced financial modelling and reporting skills.
• Confident challenging and influencing senior leaders to support decision‑making.
• Able to build credibility and relationships across the business.
• Proactive, curious, and solutions‑focused, with the confidence to work autonomously.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can evolve.
