Job description

Location:Maidenhead, Berkshire (Hybrid flexible working, 3 days on-site)

Job Type:Full-Time, Permanent

Salary:Up to £45,000 per annum

Be part of the next chapter of Life Services Group.

Following the launch of Life Services Group, we're bringing together a unique portfolio of brands and services that support families through some of life's most important moments. From funeral services and crematoria to specialist end-of-life planning and memorialisation businesses, we're building something unlike any other organisation in the UK.

As we continue to evolve, we're looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team and help shape the decisions that drive the future of the Group.

This isn't a role where you'll disappear into spreadsheets all day. This is an opportunity to sit at the centre of a growing business, providing the insight, analysis and reporting that senior leaders rely on to make business-critical decisions. Whilst your primary focus will support our Funeral business, you'll also gain exposure across multiple areas of the wider Group, giving you a breadth of experience that few analyst positions can offer.

Why this role is different

Life Services Group operates in a genuinely unique sector.

Our businesses support thousands of families every year through services that matter deeply, making the work both commercially interesting and personally meaningful. Behind every strategic decision, investment, operational improvement and growth opportunity sits data, reporting and insight.

That's where you come in.

You’ll help ensure leaders across the Group have the information they need to understand performance, identify opportunities and make informed decisions. Whether analysing trends across our Funeral Operations network, supporting commercial initiatives, improving reporting processes or providing insight into emerging business opportunities, your work will have a direct impact on how the organisation moves forward.

What you'll be doing
  • Producing weekly and monthly management reporting that informs key business decisions.
  • Analysing financial and operational performance across a complex multi-site organisation.
  • Supporting commercial initiatives, profitability reviews and business cases.
  • Tracking performance trends, risks and opportunities across multiple business areas.
  • Working closely with Finance, Operations and senior stakeholders across the Group.
  • Improving reporting processes and helping automate recurring reporting activities.
  • Turning large volumes of data into meaningful insight and recommendations.
What we're looking for

We're interested in individuals who are naturally curious, commercially minded and enjoy understanding the story behind the numbers.

You’ll likely bring experience in reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting or commercial finance and be comfortable working with large datasets. Most importantly, you’ll enjoy solving problems, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders make better decisions through data and insight.

What you can expect from us

Whether you’re stepping into broader responsibility or deepening your expertise, we’ll support you with a benefits package designed to help you thrive, both professionally and personally.

  • Time to recharge – 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, giving you the space to rest and maintain a healthy balance.
  • Recognising your impact – Opportunity to earn a yearly bonus of up to £500.
  • Healthcare when it matters – Private medical cover for you, giving peace of mind and quicker access to treatment.
  • Planning for your future – 4% matched pension contribution to help you build long-term financial security.
  • Peace of mind – Life assurance cover at 2x your salary to support your loved ones.
  • Support when you need it – Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, occupational health services and confidential counselling.
  • Developing your potential – Ongoing development opportunities, including apprenticeships and clear career progression pathways.
  • Everyday savings and perks – Access to MyStaffShop, our employee rewards platform, offering savings across high street and online retailers, alongside eyecare support, flu jabs and additional lifestyle discounts.
  • Making work easier – Free on-site parking available at most of our locations.
Why Life Services Group

Life Services Group exists to help every family in Britain navigate the hardest moments of life. We bring together trusted names across funeral services, crematoria and cemeteries, legal services, direct cremation and wills, including Dignity Funeral Directors, CMG, Simplicity Cremations, Dignity Legal Services and Farewill, so families can get more of the support they need in one place.

Our ambition is to support one in three families across the UK as they plan for, navigate and deal with death. We want to set a new standard for care, service and simplicity across the sector.

Death is part of life, and being there for families when it matters is what we do. That means making difficult moments feel more supported, more straightforward and more human.

We are building a modern group that supports families at every stage, from planning ahead with wills and funeral plans, to arranging a funeral, cremation or burial, and managing probate afterwards. This is a defining moment for our business. With stronger foundations, clearer strategy and real momentum, we can change end-of-life care for the better. We are modernising how we work, investing in our colleagues and technology, and helping more families than any one brand could alone.

Wherever you work in Life Services Group, in one of our local teams, specialist brands or group functions, you’ll be part of work with meaningful purpose. You will help families through some of life’s hardest and most important moments.

Across all our brands, we want colleagues to grow with us through better training, stronger support, modern tools and clearer opportunities to build skills and confidence. You’ll be part of teams who care deeply about what they do, look out for each other and take pride in doing work that matters.

You will also help shape the future of end-of-life care. That means making support simpler, more connected and more human for families, while each brand keeps the identity, expertise and community connection people already know and trust.

If you want a career with meaningful purpose, room to grow with us and the chance to shape the future, find your Life’s work.
