Job summary

Gymshark is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager for Brand & Marketing to be the trusted finance partner for the Brand and Marketing teams. You will shape investment decisions, measure performance, and ensure maximum impact of every pound spent.

As the finance business partner, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, lead budgeting/forecasting, deliver insightful analyses, and drive process improvements with a focus on profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Proven finance business partnering experience with a commercial environment.
• Experience supporting Brand, Marketing, Creative or Customer Acquisition functions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Heads of Brand and Marketing to provide financial insight and challenge.
• Analyse and interpret financial performance, translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Develop, monitor and report on financial and non-financial KPIs for ROI of Brand/Marketing investments.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic objectives.
• Deliver regular reforecasts to adapt to changing priorities.
• Provide analysis and commentary on spend vs budget and forecast; highlight risks/opportunities.
• Hold stakeholders accountable and support spend management across departments.
• Challenge investment decisions to protect profitability.
• Create presentations and insight packs for senior leaders.
• Identify process, system and ways-of-working improvements, including AI/automation.

We're looking for a Commercial Finance Manager - Brand & Marketing to become the trusted finance partner to one of the most influential functions in our business. In this role, you'll sit at the heart of Gymshark's Brand and Marketing teams, helping to shape investment decisions, measure performance, challenge thinking, and ensure we're maximising the impact of every pound we spend.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING.

As the dedicated finance business partner for Brand & Marketing, you'll:

• Partner closely with Heads of Brand and Marketing, providing financial insight and commercial challenge that supports profitable growth.
• Analyse and interpret financial performance, translating complex data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Develop, monitor and report on both financial and non-financial KPIs to assess the effectiveness and ROI of Brand and Marketing investment.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring plans are ambitious, achievable and aligned to Gymshark's strategic objectives.
• Deliver regular reforecasts, helping the business adapt quickly to changing priorities and performance trends.
• Provide clear analysis and commentary on spend performance versus budget and forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Hold stakeholders accountable to agreed actions and support departments in managing spend effectively.
• Challenge investment decisions constructively where plans may place sustainable profitability at risk.
• Create impactful presentations and insight packs for senior leaders, Directors and Executive stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working, including the application of AI and automation.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture within Finance and across the wider business.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.

You'll ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Proven finance business partnering experience within a commercial environment.
• Experience supporting Brand, Marketing, Creative or Customer Acquisition functions.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively when required.
• A track record of delivering budgets, forecasts and insightful financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
• A proactive, self-starting approach and comfort operating in an environment that evolves quickly.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using financial systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office.

This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be required to attend either:

• a minimum of three days per week at GSHQ, Solihull, or
• if London-based, a minimum of two days per week at GSHQ, Solihull and one day per week from our London office.
