Job Description
Here at Optum UK, we’re looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to our Commercial Finance Director, you will be a key member of the commercial finance team working closely with our sales, commercial, and operational teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied commercial finance role. You will support the production of various commercial and investment appraisals, assist in monthly investment case forecasting and reporting, and provide financial and commercial support on bids, tenders, contracts, and pricing for our framework-related contracts.
This role is split between working in our Leeds office (LS19) one day a week and the rest from home.

What you’ll do
This is a dynamic end-to-end commercial finance role. You will produce various commercial appraisals (including product investment, divestment, and new business opportunities) and provide proactive finance support to our operations, commercial, and sales teams through bids, tenders, contracting, and pricing processes.
The role also involves supporting other corporate projects as needed and assisting the finance team with non-BAU requests during busy periods like month-end.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing revenue/profitability analysis, sensitivity analysis, and identifying financial risks and opportunities to drive positive outcomes.

Who You’ll Be:
You will be an experienced finance professional, either a qualified accountant or part-qualified at advanced stages. You should have previous commercial finance experience or a commercial mindset, with an inquisitive approach to reviewing data and contracts.
Building trusted relationships within Optum and collaborating with non-financial colleagues is essential. You should be comfortable providing forecasting and detailed financial modelling reports.
As the environment is fast-paced, the ability to manage competing demands and adapt to change is crucial.
