Here at Optum UK we’re looking for a Commercial Finance Managerto join our Commercial Finance team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to our Commercial Finance Director, youwill be a key member of the commercial finance team working closelywith our sales, commercial and operational teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied commercialfinance role, we will look to you to support in the production ofvarious commercial and investment appraisals as well as supporting inmonthly investment case forecasting and reporting. As a CommercialFinance Manager, you will provide financial and commercial support onbids & tenders, contracts and pricing for our framework relatedcontracts.

This role is split between working inour Leeds office (LS19) one day a week and the rest from home.

Whatyou’ll do

This is a dynamic end-to-endcommercial finance role where you will be responsible for producingvarious commercial appraisals (including but not limited to productinvestment, divestment and new business opportunities) as well asproviding proactive finance support to our operations, commercial andsales teams through our bids & tenders, contracting and pricingprocesses.

The role will also support othercorporate projects as and when required as well as providing supportto the rest of the finance team in supporting with non-BAU requeststhat arise during busy periods such as month end.

As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will engage and workcollaboratively with internal and external stakeholders includingprovision of revenue/profitability analysis, sensitivity analysis andidentification of financial risks and opportunities to help drivepositive outcomes in these areas.

Other keyresponsibilities and accountabilities will include;

• Contract and Framework Reviews, understand and comment onthe contract financial terms, including risks around for exampleinvoicing, payment, liabilities & penalties
• Support on ad-hoccorporate projects
• Preparing insightful reporting andanalysis to support management decision making
• FinancialModelling and scenario testing for new business opportunities or newproducts. Including ROI, DCF and other financial measures

Who You’ll Be:

You willbe an experienced finance professional who is either a qualifiedaccountant or part qualified at the later stages. With previouscommercial finance experience or a commercial mindset, you will havean inquisitive nature when reviewing data or contracts.

Collaboration and building trusted relationships within Optumis key, you will have exposure to partnering with non-financialcolleagues whilst providing forecasting or detailed financialmodelling reports.

We are fast paced, so theability to work with competing demands and in a changing environmentis key.

• Excellentanalytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to see thebigger picture where appropriate
• Commercial financeexperience with knowledge of pricing strategies and contracting
• Experience of performing commercial appraisals
• Experience of working closely with non-finance stakeholders
• Excellent Excel skills including experience of complexmodelling
• Great communication skills at all levels
• Qualified accountant (ACMA/ACA/ACCA) or part qualified (laterstages)
