Job summary

Nigel Wright Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading UK FMCG business to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager. You will act as a key finance partner to senior stakeholders, shaping trading decisions and growth strategies.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will own UK P&L, lead budgeting and forecasting, develop robust commercial analysis and impactful business cases. Hybrid working with excellent career progression awaits.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification is required.
• Strong FP&A or business partnering experience.
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to translate data into commercial insight.
• Experience building financial models, forecasts and investment appraisals.
• Strong Excel and reporting systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Own UK P&L including budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting.
• Lead financial planning processes aligned with business objectives.
• Provide analysis of revenue, margins and profitability drivers.
• Develop financial models, forecasts and scenario planning for strategic decisions.
• Identify risks and opportunities to maximise performance.
• Produce clear reporting and KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
• Partner with commercial, marketing and trading teams to influence decisions.
• Support pricing, promotions and investments with robust analysis.

The Opportunity

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as a key finance business partner to senior operational, commercial and marketing stakeholders, helping shape trading decisions and future growth strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Commercial ownership of the UK P&L, including budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting
• Leading financial planning processes and ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
• Providing insightful analysis of revenue, margins and profitability drivers
• Developing financial models, forecasts and scenario planning to support strategic decisions
• Identifying risks and opportunities to maximise business performance
• Producing clear, meaningful reporting and KPI dashboards for senior leadership
• Partnering closely with commercial, marketing and trading teams to influence decision-making
• Supporting pricing, promotional and investment decisions through robust financial analysis
• Building and evaluating business cases, ensuring strong commercial returns
• Leading regular performance reviews and providing actionable recommendations
• Driving continuous improvements in finance processes, systems and reporting
• Supporting and developing junior finance team members where appropriate

About You
