Allianz UK is seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partnering professional to support the Commercial business with financial planning, performance analysis, budgeting and modelling in a dynamic insurance environment. The role is based in Guildford with a 40% office attendance expectation in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate is CIMA/ACCA qualified, proficient in Excel, and capable of building robust financial models while communicating insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified in CIMA/ACCA and experienced in management accounting techniques.
• Experience providing financial advice and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in building complex financial models and large data sets in Excel.
• Ability to translate business objectives into financial planning and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver monthly revenue and expense reporting, forecasting and analysis.
• Communicate financial performance insights and forecasts to key stakeholders.
• Support annual expense budgeting and planning processes.
• Partner with commercial teams to model broker opportunities and assess business cases.
• Produce performance reporting and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Respond to ad-hoc financial queries and provide commercial insight.

Role Description

Join our Commercial Finance Business Partnering team and play a key role in supporting the Commercial business across financial planning, performance analysis, budgeting, business modelling and strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial finance expertise while partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to key business initiatives within a dynamic insurance environment.

Location: This role is be based in our Guildford office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that attend the office 40% of your time.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £60,000 per year.

The salary offered will be based on your experience, skills and location and forms part of our market-leading total rewards package.

About You

• Own and deliver monthly revenue and expense reporting, forecasting and analysis processes.


• Communicate financial performance insights and forecasts to key stakeholders across the Commercial business.


• Support and play a key role in the annual expense budgeting and planning process.


• Partner with commercial teams to model new broker opportunities and evaluate business cases.


• Produce business performance reporting, analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.


• Respond to ad-hoc financial queries and provide commercial insight across the business.


• Support corporate projects, business initiatives and change programmes.


• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and non-finance teams.


• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial models through automation and innovation.

Essential Skills

• CIMA or ACCA qualified.


• Knowledge of management accounting techniques and financial planning processes.


• Experience providing financial advice, insight and support to senior stakeholders.


• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues across finance and non-finance functions.


• Advanced Excel skills, including working with large data sets and developing complex financial models.


• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Ability to understand wider business objectives and apply financial insight to support decision-making.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Self-motivated with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders.


• Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• Aptitude for systems development and technology-enabled solutions.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working within the insurance sector.


• Knowledge of Anaplan and experience using planning, forecasting or reporting systems.


• Knowledge of financial performance reporting within a commercial environment.


• Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage and an interest in leveraging AI tools to improve processes and business outcomes.
