Allianz UK is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Commercial Combined, based in Maidstone with a hybrid work pattern. This role focuses on underwriting, broker partnerships, and driving profitable growth in the Commercial space.

You will lead complex deals, mentor colleagues and contribute to regional growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and governance standards are met.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience in Commercial Combined, Property, Casualty or Liability underwriting.
• Ability to coach and mentor colleagues as a technical lead.
• Proven success owning and managing key broker relationships and complex cases.

• Develop trusted partnerships with brokers to unlock opportunities and strengthen market presence.
• Analyse risk exposures, terms and pricing using data and underwriting tools.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
• Act as a senior referral point and mentor for less experienced underwriters.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Maidstone office, with an expectation to attend the office 2-3 days per week.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £55,000 per year.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

As our Commercial Combined Senior Underwriter, you’ll:

• Underwrite business across Commercial Combined risks in line with Allianz underwriting appetite and authority levels
• Develop trusted partnerships with brokers, leveraging collaboration to unlock new opportunities and strengthen market presence.
• Analyse risk exposures, terms, and pricing using data and underwriting tools
• Contribute to regional business plans and growth strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
• Act as a senior referral point and mentor for less experienced underwriters where appropriate

Essential skills

• Extensive experience in Commercial Combined, Property, Casualty or Liability underwriting, with the capability to manage complex and high-value risks
• The confidence and capability to coach, develop and support colleagues, acting as a technical referral point within the team
• Proven experience in owning and managing key broker relationships, including large and complex case management
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and work collaboratively across the business
