Responsibilities

• Producing and distributing regular financial and performance reporting.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes across capital expenditure, decarbonisation projects and central costs.
• Building financial models to support investment decisions, business cases and benefit realisation tracking.
• Analysing large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Developing and maintaining robust financial models, reporting templates and analytical tools.
• Managing reporting timetables and ensuring deadlines are met accurately and on time.
• Working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and provide financial insight and support.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a commercially minded and analytical Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team at Stagecoach.

Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, you’ll provide insightful analysis, reporting, forecasting and financial modelling that helps drive better decision‑making across the business. You’ll be comfortable handling large datasets, turning complex information into clear, meaningful insights that support investment decisions, performance improvement and delivery of our sustainability ambitions. What You’ll Be Doing

• Responding to stakeholder queries and presenting complex information in a clear and concise way.

What We Need

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience supporting capital expenditure, investment or project reporting.
