Job description

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with an excellent business in Blackburn as they continue to expand their operations. This business has seen significant growth in recent years and has attracted a best-in-class finance team under an established CFO.

This is a fantastic role that offers a high degree of autonomy, with the main objective to help improve business performance through a combination of business partnering and analytical skills. You will receive mentorship and development on a day-to-day basis from a high-calibre ACA-qualified Financial Controller.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting all aspects of financial decision-making by providing commercial planning and performance analysis to ensure the delivery of financial targets.
2. Business partnering across multiple divisions, including Sales and Operations teams, to review, understand, and develop financial proposals that reflect customer requirements while identifying the most competitive pricing.
3. Developing pricing models.
4. Analyzing production costs, administration expenses, and other overhead costs to provide data-backed solutions.
5. Developing and analyzing sales and marketing reports and suggesting strategies for improving business performance.
6. Providing sound financial appraisals of projects or investments, communicating financial benefits or outcomes clearly and concisely.
7. Assisting in the budgeting process.
8. Challenging reports to ensure their robustness.
9. Engaging in ad hoc project work as the business continues to expand.

This role is suitable for a commercially minded, driven, ACCA/ACA/CIMA finalist or qualified candidate who can manipulate and analyze large data sets while influencing stakeholders at all levels. Candidates seeking their first industry role are also encouraged to apply.
