Job summary

HR GO Group in Winsford, Cheshire is seeking a Commercial Assistant to support residential development projects with pricing, tendering and documentation. This full-time, permanent role offers a 37.75-hour week and a salary of £25,500–£31,000 per year, depending on experience.

The role involves reviewing plans to calculate material costs, preparing prices for new projects, maintaining costings and coordinating orders through to installation.

Qualifications

• A confident approach to numbers, calculations and working with detailed information.
• Strong Excel skills and good general IT knowledge.
• Previous experience with estimating, pricing or commercial administration would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with business management or estimating systems is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep information accurate.
• A methodical, organised approach to managing competing deadlines.
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and colleagues.
• A practical mindset, with the ability to identify problems and find sensible, cost-conscious solutions.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing building plans and measurements to calculate material requirements and project costs.
• Preparing competitive prices for new projects and responding to customer quotation requests.
• Creating clear documentation to help coordinate product orders and installation work.
• Maintaining accurate costings and project records to support the invoicing process.
• Monitoring tender activity and keeping internal records updated.
• Working directly with customers to clarify specifications, discuss requirements and resolve queries.
• Providing reliable pricing information to colleagues across commercial and finance teams.
• Supporting the wider department to ensure projects progress smoothly and information is communicated effectively.
