Job summary

Metro Rod Deeside & North Wales is seeking a Drainage Engineer to join our team. You will handle reactive drainage work, planned maintenance and specialist remedial tasks across commercial sites, with a focus on delivering high standards of service.

The role involves CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, fault diagnosis and on-site customer support. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to work unsociable hours are required; a company van and fuel card are provided.

Qualifications

• High pressure water jetting experience.
• CCTV surveying experience.
• Minimum 2 years in commercial drainage.
• Experience using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Strong problem-solving with technical knowledge; positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willing to work some unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment; follow safety standards.
• Carry out CCTV surveys and diagnose faults.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
• Accurately record work details in systems.
• Communicate with clients and support centre for service excellence.
• Participate in on-call rota 24/7/365.
