Role profile
We are seeking a Commercial Disputes (Senior) Knowledge Lawyer to support the Commercial Disputes Service Line within our Disputes & Risk Practice Group.
In this role you will work closely with the Head of Disputes & Risk Knowledge to build out the knowledge function for the Service Line, thinking strategically about how best to deliver relevant and effective knowhow and training, and support business development initiatives.
You will track and disseminate technical and market developments, and act as expert counsel to fee earners, supporting them to deliver the best possible service to clients.
This role can be based in either our Bristol or London office. We are happy to consider candidates on a 4 day or full time basis.
The team
You will join our close-knit Disputes & Risk Knowledge Team, which includes four Knowledge Lawyers and a Knowledge Paralegal. You will also work closely with other Knowledge Lawyers from across the Firm's innovative and market leading Knowledge Team.
The Commercial Disputes Service Line
Our Disputes & Risk Practice Group comprises 46 partners and 126 other fee earners spread across our Bristol, London, and Thames Valley offices.
The Group is divided into six service lines: Commercial Disputes, Construction Disputes, Property Disputes, IP Disputes, Regulatory Disputes, and Restructuring & Insolvency.
The Commercial Disputes Service Line consists of 18 partners and 39 other fee earners. It handles a wide range of commercial disputes, including tech disputes, cybersecurity, data and privacy disputes, financial services/regulatory disputes, business crime disputes, corporate disputes, competition disputes, crisis/reputation management, insurance and reinsurance disputes, tax disputes, professional negligence disputes, international and domestic arbitrations, and investigations.
Technical skills and experience
We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of civil procedure and the key substantive areas of law relevant to commercial disputes (contract law, tort law, conflicts of laws, etc.).
