Job summary

Disclosure and Barring Service is recruiting an Associate Director - Commercial (Technology and Innovation). You will lead the T&I Contracts function, partner with senior stakeholders, and drive DBS's Commercial Roadmap to support the 2028 strategy.

The role reports to the Finance and Commercial Leadership team and leads a 7-strong team to deliver compliant, value-driven outcomes. You will collaborate across Home Office and government partners, shaping multi-year procurement plans while

Qualifications

• Ability to design strategic MI from diverse sources for DBS governance.
• Capable of balancing conflicting demands to meet DBS priorities.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders across DBS and government.
• Adaptable leadership style to guide teams and peers by example.
• Experience in managing complex portfolios with strategic commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain influential relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver the DBS Commercial Roadmap and category strategies.
• Lead and coach a team of commercial professionals.
• Drive market intelligence and innovative commercial approaches.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement lifecycle and risk management.
