Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is seeking an Associate Director - Commercial (Technology and Innovation) to lead the T&I Contracts workstream and partner with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliant commercial activity and delivery of the DBS 2028 Strategy.

The role involves leading a team of seven, building a DBS Commercial Roadmap and category plans, and collaborating with Home Office partners to align DBS and Home Office systems and processes.

• Balance conflicting demands and prioritise to meet DBS objectives.
• Effective communication with all stakeholder levels and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across DBS, Home Office, Cabinet Office and government commercial community.
• Develop and deliver the DBS Commercial Roadmap, category strategies and multi-year procurement plans.
• Provide leadership, coaching and direction to a team of commercial professionals.
• Drive market intelligence, category knowledge and innovative approaches to improve outcomes.
• Lead complex procurements across multiple categories, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and governance.
• Develop procurement strategies, negotiate terms and lead market engagement.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, supplier and contractual risks; escalate as needed.
• Oversee the full commercial lifecycle from planning to contract mobilisation.
• Ensure robust commercial pipelines, savings delivery, supplier management and issue resolution.
• Champion compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and government standards.
