Disclosure & Barr ing Service (DBS) is seeking an Associate Director - Commercial (Technology & Innovation) to lead the T&I Contracts side and partner with stakeholders across the organisation. You will help shape the DBS Commercial Roadmap and support delivery of the DBS 2028 Strategy, overseeing a team of seven in a dynamic, regulatory government context.

The role requires designing MI for governance, driving compliant procurements, and managing strategic supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience designing strategic MI from diverse sources for governance meetings.
• Ability to balance conflicting demands and align priorities with DBS strategy.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-government initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build influential relationships with senior stakeholders across DBS and government bodies.
• Develop DBS Commercial Roadmap, category strategies and multi-year procurement plans.
• Provide leadership and coaching to a team of commercial professionals.
• Drive market intelligence and innovative commercial approaches to improve outcomes.
• Lead complex procurements ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and governance.
• Negotiate contracts and lead market engagement to meet objectives.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and escalate issues as needed.
• Oversee lifecycle from planning to contract mobilisation and value delivery.
• Champion compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and pan-government standards.
