Job summary

Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design and consultancy, seeks a Commercial Director to lead a major data centre project in the Nordics. Based in the UK with significant international travel to Norway or Finland (50/50 or 11/3 rotations), you will oversee cost and commercial management across the programme.

You will manage client relations, ensure contract compliance, and guide teams through complex commercial challenges, while delivering value and innovation within a large-scale project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related
• Professional certification (RICS, AACE or similar)
• Extensive experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes and cost & commercial management
• Experience leading smaller projects and supporting larger ones
• Experience delivering analysis and insights
• Experience collaborating with external stakeholders to build client relationships
• Experience managing business relationships and supporting middle management activities

Responsibilities

• Manage large projects or complex work streams to meet client expectations
• Line manage development and performance of team members
• Supervise teams of Cost and Commercial Specialists on multiple projects
• Act as primary client contact for cost and commercial reporting and QA
• Review outputs before submission to client and external groups
• Maintain understanding of client objectives and priorities
• Ensure compliance with contracts in delivery parameters and scope
• Use industry best practice to improve cost and commercial management systems
