Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Commercial Director to lead the delivery of one of our largest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The role will be based in-country with potential international travel to Norway or Finland.

You will manage major projects, guide cost and commercial strategy, and mentor a team of specialists, ensuring client objectives are met and contracts are adhered to you will drive best-practice and innovation across the project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management)
• Professional certification such as RICS, AACE or similar
• Extensive experience in a similar role with cost & commercial emphasis
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract management
• Experience leading smaller projects and supporting larger, complex ones
• Experience delivering analysis and insights for client reporting
• Experience managing relationships with external stakeholders and clients
• Experience supporting middle management activities and team development

Responsibilities

• Manage large projects or complex work streams, delivering outputs that meet or exceed client expectations
• Line management responsibility for developing and performance managing team members
• May supervise teams of Cost and Commercial Specialists on multiple projects
• Act as primary client contact for all cost and commercial reporting and quality assurance
• Review outputs before submission to client and external groups
• Maintain a demonstrable understanding of the client’s key objectives
• Assure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service
• Use knowledge of industry best practice to support development of cost and commercial management systems
• Drive continuous service improvements and innovation
