Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Lead – Commercial / PMO (Client Side) to head our Client Side Commercial team for capital projects. You will manage time, cost and quality from planning through close-out, while building a high-performing, diverse team and delivering proactive commercial leadership.

With NEC experience and a background in high-value civil/infrastructure work, you will drive reporting, payments, variations, claims and final accounts, ensuring client processes and risk controls are

Qualifications

• Extensive NEC experience with change control and related processes.
• Post-contract commercial services including reporting, payments, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Degree in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying.
• Chartered membership (CICES/RICS/CiArb) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Client Side commercial team to manage time, cost and quality to programme closeout.
• Build a diverse, high-performing team and foster engagement.
• Provide proactive commercial leadership with timely reporting and contract deliverables.
• Minimise client risk and maximise value to drive repeat business.
• Ensure compliance with client processes and Defence protocols.
• Identify risks, report claims and support dispute resolution with client.
• Recruit, onboard, develop and retain team members.
• Maintain positive client and partner relationships.
• Coordinate with Commercial Directors to pool resources for internal/external services.
• Communicate updates and strategic objectives clearly to the team.
• Uphold people policies and foster a fair, safe work environment.
