The Commercial Director will be expected to create a culture where cost and value are managed effectively, with necessary corrective measures to ensure overruns and risks are tackled immediately. The role is accountable for ensuring that potential risks, claims, and commercial disputes are minimised or identified early and managed proactively, while motivating teams and collaborators and being results-oriented.

Key Activities

  • Track, measure and analyse commercial metrics using KPIs and BAM reporting tools.
  • Always strive to accelerate and encourage Business Unit profitability and success.
  • Implement and align Commercial Processes throughout the Region, ensuring compliance with legislation and BAM policies and procedures.
  • Provide commercial direction and leadership to operational commercial staff, ensuring the Region adheres to BAM standards and processes.
  • Support key strategic decision-making and develop commercial models to support the business direction, including new and existing core markets.
  • Undertake strategic risk reviews and monitor close-out of mitigating actions, providing direction and leadership to operational staff.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Legal team to ensure Contract Reviews are completed as required under the BAM Baseline for acquiring work.
