BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager for a major energy infrastructure project in Inverness-shire. You will take charge of commercial responsibilities, ensuring effective communication with the project team and supply chain partners.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in the role, capable of managing multiple projects and contributing to the success of our commercial services. Competitive salary and extensive benefits are offered.

BAM UK & Ireland are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Commercial Manager to work within the ASTI Framework. You will be required to work on a major energy infrastructure development in Inverness-shire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, Regional Commercial Manager, project management and other associated disciplines and enhance the profile of commercial services
• Be responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocation
• Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents
• Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business
• Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representatives
• Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions / reviews
• Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy
• Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and company tied costs. Obtain cash-flow information and present all reports
• Provide input to dispute identification and management
• Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer's representatives
• Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts
• Maintain contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and input to contract documentation
• Carry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentation

What do you bring to the role?

• Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects and with a minimum of 4 years in this role
• Joint Venture experience
• Member of a Professional Institution or working towards application of the ICES, or similar
• Open collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around you
• Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification (preferred but not essential)
