Job summary

Arguile is partnered with a global business seeking an experienced Commercial Director to support fast-growing UK and EMEA activities. The role centers on pre-contract work, working with senior stakeholders and advising on maximizing value and minimizing risk across the contract portfolio.

The candidate should be a people-oriented problem-solver with the ability to navigate commercial issues, drive growth plans, and align expectations with client engagement teams and contract delivery groups.

Responsibilities

• Identify the risks, liabilities, and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
• Review, draft, update and maintain contract documents working independently of legal
• Monitor and report performance and compliance against contractual obligations including commercial performance, financial management and contract management
• Work with the contract delivery teams to ensure that the management of change request process and change implementation is carried out in line with the contracts.
• Report on progress of change requests and projects
• Review contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk
• Prevent and resolve contractual disputes
• Assuring adherence to Group Commercial Policy
• Supporting the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship.
• Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team.

We are partnering with a global business who are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to support one of their fastest growing areas in the UK and EMEA region. Working predominantly on pre- contract activity, you will be adept at working at pace and interacting with senior stakeholders.

This role is for a people person. You will be someone who likes getting under the skin of commercial problems and acting as a trusted advisor to the business to maximise value and minimise risk within your contract portfolio.

You will have ambitious growth plans and be driven to progress your career in a respectable commercial function. Experience from sectors such as Facilities management, IT/ outsourcing, defence or manufacturing would be a great fit for this role.
