Your new role

Digital Science is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Contracts Specialist to focus on the drafting, review, and management of commercial contracts, including standard customer terms, contract amendments and partner agreements, in accordance with pre-approved playbooks and guardrails, as well as the administration of reseller type agreements.

This critical role will be instrumental in helping the business contract with customers and partners efficiently in close collaboration with SalesOps, Sales and Legal teams, by implementing and following standard processes, such as to facilitate the review of customer comments on standard terms and track partner relationships. It is anticipated that this role will act as a first line of review of high volume contract types and to triage to the Legal team as required.

The ideal candidate will possess very strong attention to detail, experience with reviewing and drafting contractual documents, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders (including Legal, Sales, Operations, Product, and Finance teams) and external partners. A foundational understanding of basic legal contract terms is essential for success in this role, but legal qualifications are not required.

Please be aware that we may close this position early if we receive a high volume of applications, so we encourage you to apply promptly.

What you’ll be doing
  • Customer Contract Reviews: Act as first line of review of customer comments (e.g. relines) on standard terms in accordance with guardrails with escalation to the Legal team as required.
  • Contract Amendments: Draft amendments to contracts in accordance with requirements of Sales team and other parts of the business using pre-agreed templates
  • Simple Contractual-Related Documents: maintain basic templates for common requests like approvals, reps and certs, sole source letters etc.
  • Partner Agreement Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of partner agreements, such as resellers, from initial drafting using agreed templates, and ongoing tracking and management, including to enable accurate reporting.
  • Payment Coordination with Finance: Collaborate closely with the Finance department to ensure accurate processing of reseller payments (both to and from the company) in accordance with contract terms. Address any payment-related inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes related to Reseller and Customer agreement development, negotiation, and management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on reseller and customer agreement terms, processes, and best practices.

What you’ll bring to the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contract management, licensing, or a related role, with a significant focus on reseller or partnership agreements, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts, ideally involving resellers and related relationships.
  • Ability to interpret legal contract terms and conditions effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with commercial teams.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written English.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and standard office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working closely with legal, finance and sales teams and a comfortable understanding of their respective processes.
Not sure you meet all qualifications? Let us decide! Research shows that women and members of other under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when in fact, they often do! We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.
