Job summary

A specialist legal recruitment firm is seeking a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to provide legal support for a Local Authority on a remote basis. The ideal candidate should be a qualified solicitor or barrister with strong commercial contracts experience. Responsibilities include drafting contracts and delivering legal advice. This role offers competitive pay at up to £60 per hour for 15 hours per week. Initial contract for 3 months with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with strong commercial contracts experience.
• Strong drafting and advisory skills with recent experience in contracts and procurement.
• Previous local government experience desirable but not essential.

• Advise on and draft a variety of commercial contracts, including building contracts, grant agreements and JCTs.
• Provide support on procurement-related matters.
• Deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders.

Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Up to £60 per hour umbrella – Remote – 15 hours

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a Local Authority to recruit a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to support a busy and collaborative legal team.

The Role:

• Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
• Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
• Duration: Initial 3 months with the likelihood of extension
• Location: Remote working, with initial office attendance required to collect equipment
• Hours: 15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on and draft a variety of commercial contracts, including building contracts, grant agreements and JCTs
• Provide support on procurement-related matters
• Deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders
