Commercial / Contract Manager – Defence (NEC/JCT), Manchester

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Commercial and Contract Manager to work within the UK Defence Sector. The role involves managing NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contracts, providing advice, and ensuring effective contract management in a high-stakes environment.

This position offers flexible working, with 60% of your time on-site near regional offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contract frameworks to defence clients.
• Manage contracts, conduct research, data collection, and benchmarking.
• Develop and implement contract management processes.
• Monitor and report on contract performance using software like CEMAR.
• Manage change control processes, track changes, and negotiate contract modifications.
• Prepare communication materials and formal reports on contract administration.
• Engage with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and designers.

Qualifications:

• Proven procurement experience in defence, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Extensive experience with NEC3/NEC4 and/or JCT contracts.
• Knowledge of UK Government procurement processes.
• Degree or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Professional accreditation such as CIPS is desirable.
• Must obtain and maintain security clearance; only British citizens may apply.
