Build Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Mobile Commercial Combustion Engineer to cover Oxford, Swindon and surrounding areas. You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance and fault finding across commercial HVAC and combustion plant on multiple sites.

The role requires ACS/commercial gas qualifications, strong fault-finding, and a full UK driving licence. Salary up to £60,000 per annum plus van, fuel card, device, 25 days leave and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mobile Commercial Combustion/Gas Engineer across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of commercial heating systems and combustion equipment.
• Experience working across multiple commercial sites.
• Solid background in building services maintenance.
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of building services compliance and health and safety.
• Relevant mechanical, gas or HVAC qualifications.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial heating, combustion and HVAC plant.
• Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and additional works as required.
• Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and in line with regulations.
• Identify issues and recommend remedial works.
• Maintain service records and compliance documentation.
• Deliver professional service while maintaining client relationships.
• Work independently across multiple commercial sites within the Oxford, Swindon and surrounding areas.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Commercial Combustion Engineer on behalf of a well-established building services and commercial gas engineering company. The company has decades of industry experience and is part of a wider national engineering and technical services group, offering the stability and support of an established organisation alongside a close-knit team environment.

The successful candidate will cover Oxford, Swindon and the surrounding areas, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding and additional works across a range of commercial HVAC and combustion plant.

We are keen to speak with engineers who have a strong background in commercial building services, excellent fault-finding skills and experience working independently across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial heating, combustion and HVAC plant.
• Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and additional works as required.
• Ensure all equipment operates safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports and relevant compliance documentation.
• Deliver a professional service while maintaining positive relationships with clients and site contacts.
• Work independently across multiple commercial sites within the Oxford, Swindon and surrounding areas.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

• Proven experience as a Mobile Commercial Combustion Engineer or Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of commercial heating systems, combustion equipment and associated plant.
• Experience working across multiple commercial sites.
• A solid background in building services maintenance.
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A good understanding of building services compliance and health and safety requirements.
• Relevant mechanical, gas or HVAC qualifications.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.

Candidates should ideally hold relevant ACS qualifications and certifications, including:

• CCN1 – Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety
• CENWAT1 – Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters
• CKR1 – Domestic Cooking Appliances
• HTR1 – Domestic Fires and Wall Heaters
• UDHW – Unvented Domestic Hot Water Systems
• LCWR – Water Regulations
• CODNCO1 – Domestic to Commercial Gas Safety Changeover
• ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework
• CIGA1 – Indirect-Fired Appliances
• CDGA1 – Direct-Fired Appliances
• CORT1 – Radiant and Tube Heaters
• BMP1 – Gas Boosters
• TPCP1 and TPCP1A – Testing and Purging of Installation Pipework
