Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an ACA/ACCA qualified audit professional with post-qualification experience. The role involves leading audit engagements, managing teams of Assistant Managers and Associates, and delivering high-quality, compliant financial statements.

You will build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and work with Engagement Leaders on complex areas. The position emphasizes integrity, professional development, and adherence to risk policies.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in audit.
• Strong technical grounding in audit and assurance.
• Experience managing engagement teams and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for planning, executing and completing audit engagements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client on day-to-day matters.
• Identify and evaluate audit risks, design audit strategy and ensure it is proportionate and defensible.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines and profitability; escalate overruns and agree scope changes with the client.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Assistant Managers and Associates.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• Identify cross-service line opportunities and contribute to growth of the practice.
• Review financial statements for compliance with relevant legislation and disclosure requirements.
• Consult with Engagement Leaders and specialists on high-risk areas.
• Contribute to proposals and business development activity as required.
• Adhere to risk management policies and complete mandatory training.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and act with integrity.
