The role focuses on advising NHS bodies, healthcare organisations, independent providers and commercial clients on complex contracts and data protection.

You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, support procurement projects, and contribute to business development within a supportive, high-calibre team

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level.

A leading national law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join its growing Health Commercial team in Manchester. The team advises NHS bodies, healthcare organisations, independent providers and commercial clients on a broad range of commercial, procurement and data protection matters. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, the firm is looking to recruit commercially minded lawyers with experience in commercial contracts, procurement, data protection or healthcare advisory work. The Role:

• Advise NHS bodies, healthcare organisations, independent providers and commercial clients on a broad range of commercial matters
• Draft, negotiate and advise on complex commercial contracts and agreements
• Support clients on procurement projects, tender processes and regulatory compliance matters
• Advise on data protection, information governance and wider healthcare regulatory issues
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across the healthcare sector
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across commercial, healthcare, public sector and regulatory teams
• Manage matters efficiently, delivering commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the team
• Contribute to client training, thought leadership and wider sector engagement activities
• Mentor and support junior lawyers where appropriate

The Candidate:

• A qualified Solicitor operating at Associate or Senior Associate level
• Experience in Commercial, Procurement, Data Protection and/or Healthcare Advisory work
• Strong technical drafting, negotiation and advisory skills
• Commercially minded with the ability to deliver practical and solution-focused advice
• Experience working with healthcare, public sector or regulated sector clients would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Capable of managing a varied caseload and working effectively within a collaborative team environment
• Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress within a highly regarded national practice
