Commercial Assistant Required - Basildon, Essex - Hybrid Working - Up to £40K + Package

The Role

Reporting into the Senior QS, this role will support the business unit by managing the contractual and financial elements of projects within the Networks (South) business. This includes large electrical and civil frameworks and major standalone projects with UKPN, across DNP&P Major Projects. The role also involves activities to ensure successful P&L, cash flow, and working capital management.

Duties:

• Manage Costs
• Provide Cash Flow Forecasts
• Assist project teams with measurement and valuations of works for applications, variations, and final accounts with clients and suppliers
• Identify & notification of Early Warnings and Compensation Events
• Assist with CVR creation and management
• Conduct monthly project reviews
• Support the dispute and defects process with clients
• Attend client progress meetings
• Follow procedures for client work approval
• Post audit of works commercially
• Manage invoicing and debts
• Ensure effective communication with all levels of personnel
• Manage supply chain
• Provide innovative ideas and continuous improvement
