Job summary

LGC Group is seeking a Commercial Application Scientist to blend scientific expertise with strategic sales initiatives across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will collaborate with account managers, scientists, marketing and service teams to drive revenue, identify solutions, and manage client projects from discovery to installation.

The role requires a PhD in biosciences or related field, strong lab knowledge, and proficiency in genotyping and NGS workflows, with willingness to travel

Qualifications

• PhD in biosciences or related field (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of market-facing experience in a laboratory environment.
• Demonstrated laboratory process knowledge and ability to translate science to customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong English communication.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support to drive revenue and margins.
• Lead solution engineering to translate client requirements into LGC solutions.
• Coordinate with Account Managers, Scientists, Marketing and service teams.
• Stay current on industry trends and competing offerings; represent LGC at events.
