An established industry player is seeking a Commercial and Rural Property Solicitor to join their dynamic team in Lewes. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a full-service law firm, specializing in agricultural law and rural property transactions. You will engage with a variety of legal matters, from advising on agricultural tenancies to managing complex sales and purchases of farms and estates. Job Title: Commercial and Rural Property Solicitor
Location: Lewes
Salary: £45k-£55k, based on experience
PQE Level: NQ-3

We are working with a Legal 500-ranked, full-service law firm renowned for its collaborative culture and supportive team environment. This firm places agricultural work at the core of its business, offering a unique opportunity to work directly in this highly regarded practice area.
This role involves handling a dynamic and competitive area of law, encompassing a variety of land use, rural business, and agricultural issues. You will deal with matters such as the sale and purchase of farms, estates, and rural properties, as well as advising on agricultural tenancies, rights of way, and environmental concerns. You will collaborate with seasoned professionals on large and intricate transactions, gaining valuable mentorship, while also independently managing smaller-scale cases, giving you hands-on experience to sharpen your skills.
The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years PQE and some exposure to or knowledge of commercial property transactions. While expertise in all these areas isn't expected, a willingness to learn and a proactive mindset are essential. You should also demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication, and a commitment to building strong client relationships and participating in business development initiatives.
