Commercial and Procurement Senior Associate - Leeds

We are working with the award-winning Commercial and Procurement team of this major international firm on the hire of a further experienced Procurement and Commercial Solicitor to assist in their continued growth.

The national team operates across Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, is friendly and collaborative and works well together.

- Acting on behalf of a varied and thriving public sector client base, particularly in the healthcare, infrastructure, technology and local government space
- Working on complex, cutting edge and high profile projects and procurements that are very much in the public eye
- Frequently the national team of choice for the latest high profile procurement

Ideally you will have 5 years+ experience as a Commercial and Procurement Lawyer, with expertise across not just procurement but also a wider range of commercial arrangements. Any experience in the health sector or in subsidy control would be especially welcome, but is not essential.

Work that you may be involved in includes:
- Progressing, drafting and negotiating a diverse workload of commercial contracting matters of varying complexity and scale in a variety of sectors including health, central government, local government and utilities.
- Undertaking, preparing and managing contracts and other key documents relating to the procurement of large scale projects that fall within the scope of procurement law.
- Advising on commercial joint ventures and other types of PPPs.
- Advising on technical aspects of procurement litigation matters as appropriate to support litigation colleagues.
- General advice on contractual and commercial matters for a range of public sector clients and private sector clients who help to deliver public services.
