My client is a leading player in its industry and, due to growth, is currently looking to add a commercially focused Management Accountant to its team. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making. The role involves analyzing and explaining monthly performance variances against budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities, and assisting in re-forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with department heads and senior stakeholders to provide financial support, challenge assumptions, and drive performance.
• Present financial insights and actionable recommendations at monthly business review meetings.
• Support the annual budgeting and re-forecasting cycles, working with business units to set realistic targets.
• Track actuals versus forecasts and analyze deviations in detail.
• Develop and distribute monthly finance packs, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• 2–5 years' experience in management accounting or a related finance role
• Proven experience in business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and insightfully
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
• Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management account processes, including detailed report writing and analysis
• Proficiency in management information report writing and design, including variance analysis
