Get Recruited in Wakefield is seeking a Commercial Account Handler to support a senior broker and manage a mid-market book with diverse commercial risks.

You will handle renewals, MTAs and client queries, liaise with insurers to secure terms, maintain accurate records, build strong client relationships, and contribute to a growing, service-led broker. This office-based role offers stability, real responsibility, and scope to develop skills on larger, more complex risks.

Commercial Account Handler - Wakefield - Up to £40,000

Join a growing, independently owned broker in Wakefield that puts service, expertise and long-term client relationships at the heart of everything it does - and become a key part of the team managing a substantial mid-market book.

This is a support role with real substance. You'll be working alongside a senior broker to service a well-established book of roughly £500,000 income, across a broad range of mid-market and larger commercial risks. It's a great opportunity for an experienced handler who wants to work on more complex, interesting risks within a business that trusts its people and values their input.

Salary: Up to £40,000

Location: Wakefield

Working pattern: Office based

What you'll be doing

• Supporting a senior broker in the day-to-day management of a £500,000 income mid-market book
• Handling renewals, MTAs and client queries across a broad range of commercial classes
• Liaising with insurers to obtain terms, negotiate cover and confirm placements
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring a consistently high standard of service
• Building strong working relationships with clients and insurer partners
• Contributing to a close-knit, ambitious team where ideas are welcomed and service genuinely matters
