Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Group seeks a Commercial Account Handler for a Wirral-based insurance broker. You will manage an existing portfolio, handling renewals, MTAs and day-to-day client enquiries across Property, Liability, PI, Contract Works and Motor Trade.

You will build strong client relationships, negotiate with insurers and present quotations, while ensuring FCA compliance and accurate records. Hybrid role with salary £30,000–£38,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' commercial lines insurance broking experience.
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and policy wordings.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
• Cert CII preferred, or willingness to work towards it with study support.

Responsibilities

• Manage an existing portfolio of commercial clients and service renewals, MTAs and inquiries.
• Handle commercial products including Property, Liability, Professional Indemnity, Contract Works and Motor Trade.
• Obtain, negotiate and present quotations from insurers.
• Prepare risk presentations and ensure appropriate cover is in place.
• Review clients' insurance needs and identify additional cover requirements.
• Support new business enquiries and quotations; liaise with clients and insurers.

Commercial Account Handler

Wirral, Merseyside | £30,000 - £38,000 | Hybrid

A well-established insurance brokerage based on the Wirral is looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2-3+ years' commercial insurance broking experience who enjoys managing client relationships, renewals and mid-term adjustments across a varied commercial client base.

The Role

• You'll manage an existing portfolio of commercial clients, providing a high level of service while supporting renewals and new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing renewals, MTAs and day-to-day client enquiries
• Handling commercial products including Property, Liability, Professional Indemnity, Contract Works and Motor Trade
• Obtaining, negotiating and presenting quotations from insurers
• Preparing accurate risk presentations and ensuring appropriate cover is in place
• Reviewing clients' insurance needs and identifying additional cover requirements
• Supporting new business enquiries and quotations
• Liaising with clients and insurers to ensure policies are placed and serviced accurately
• Maintaining accurate records and complying with FCA and regulatory requirements
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and insurers

We're looking for someone with:

• 2-3+ years' commercial lines insurance broking experience
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and policy wordings
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a client-focused approach
• Experience with Acturis would be advantageous
• Cert CII preferred, or a willingness to work towards it - study support available

The Opportunity

• £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, with hybrid working in the Wirral office.
