The Role

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be:

1. Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, acting as their key adviser via telephone or email.
2. Collaborating with the Client Executive to handle complex queries, ensuring a coordinated approach to client liaison.
3. Handling commercial insurance queries across Property, Casualty, Commercial Combined, and Motor Fleet, along with some ancillary covers. Expertise in all these areas is not required as training will be provided.
4. Managing commercial insurance clients with premiums between £5k and £250k; more complex clients will be handled by individuals with wider experience.

Requirements

• This is an office-based role located in central Manchester.
• As an experienced Commercial Account Handler, you must have at least 3 years of core UK Commercial product knowledge in Commercial Combined. The more complex and wider your experience, the more complex clients you will manage.
• Your background can be in Commercial Underwriting or from a broker.
• You will be provided with a strong base salary, along with benefits such as Pension, Healthcare (BUPA), Death In Service, and a general holiday allocation.
• Training opportunities include:
• Module training with the local insurance institute (CII)
• Product training with insurers, including underwriters and risk managers
• Formal internal training programs and desk-side support
