Job summary

Basil Fry & Company is a trading name of Jensten Insurance Brokers Limited. We are hiring a Commercial Account Handler to join our established team in Leatherhead, working alongside experienced brokers to service new and existing commercial insurance clients.

You will manage renewals and mid-term adjustments, obtain competitive quotations and build long-term client relationships, collaborating with insurers and underwriters to deliver tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• General Commercial Insurance experience (2+ years) in relevant fields.
• Confident telephone manner and strong customer service skills.
• Organised, proactive and team oriented.
• Acturis experience would be an advantage.
• Interest in developing a career in commercial insurance.
• CII study progression is advantageous and supported.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Account Handler to join our established and supportive team in Leatherhead.

Working alongside our experienced brokers, you’ll play a key role in servicing new and existing commercial insurance clients, including major scheme-based clients.

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing renewals and mid-term adjustments
• Obtaining and presenting competitive quotations
• Building strong, long-term client relationships
• Working closely with insurers and underwriters to deliver tailored solutions
• Responding to client queries and ensuring accurate records
• Handling invoicing and general policy administration

What you will bring

• At least 2 years’ General Commercial Insurance experience, ideally in Commercial Vehicles, Motor Fleet, Public Liability or Employers’ Liability
• Has a confident telephone manner and strong customer service skills
• Is organised, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Acturis experience would be an advantage.
• Has a genuine interest in developing a career in commercial insurance
• CII study/progression is advantageous - and fully supported by us
