Get Recruited (UK) Ltd is partnering with a growing insurance brokerage to recruit a Commercial Account Executive focused on mid-market business development.

You will inherit a book generating approximately £100,000 in income and have flexibility over how you build from there, with the Nottingham office used one day per week to meet clients and coordinate activities.

Qualifications

• Experienced Commercial Account Executive with a track record of winning commercial clients.
• Confident generating your own leads and bringing in business relatively quickly.

Get Recruited is partnering with a growing insurance brokerage to recruit a Commercial Account Executive focused on developing mid-market business. You'll inherit a book generating approximately 100,000 in income and have flexibility over how you build from there.

This would suit a New Business Account Executive or Insurance Development Executive who can generate opportunities, get in front of decision-makers and convert those conversations into clients.

The salary is open to discussion up to 100,000. Put forward what you believe your experience and business plan justify. Your first-year target will reflect your salary and individual costs, with the expectation that you cover those costs in year one and generate profit for the branch thereafter.

THE COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE ROLE:

As a New Business Account Executive or Insurance Development Executive, you'll:

• Win new mid-market commercial clients, using your own approach to prospecting, networking and relationship building.
• Generate the majority of your own pipeline, with some additional lead support from marketing activity.
• Take responsibility for an inherited book generating approximately 100,000 in income, retaining relationships and identifying opportunities to develop those accounts.
• Advise across a broad range of general commercial insurance lines, understanding clients' businesses and presenting suitable insurance solutions.
• Work towards agreed income targets linked to your remuneration and individual costs, building a profitable portfolio over time.
• Choose whether to service your book yourself or work with an account handler, allowing you to shape the balance between client servicing and business development.
• Use Acturis to maintain accurate client information and records of your activity.
• Attend the Nottingham office one day per week, organising the rest of your working week around prospecting, client meetings and servicing responsibilities.

THE PERSON:

• An experienced Commercial Account Executive, New Business Account Executive or Insurance Development Executive with a track record of winning commercial clients.
• Confident generating your own leads and bringing in business relatively quickly.
• Strong general commercial insurance knowledge and the credibility to engage mid-market decision-makers.
• Able to explain how you would approach building your pipeline and achieving the results needed to support your proposed salary.
• Comfortable taking responsibility for your performance and managing your working week independently.
• Able to attend the Nottingham office one day per week.

Whether you're currently a New Business Account Executive or Insurance Development Executive, your ability to win clients matters more than a particular number of years in the industry. An existing transferable book is not essential.

THE OFFER:
