Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor/Cleaner at Forth Primary School in Forth, ML11 8AE. The role is term-time only, 15 hours per week, with duties split 7.5 hours as Cleaning Supervisor and 7.5 hours as Cleaner. Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 3pm–6pm.

The position requires compliance with COSHH and health and safety standards, monitoring cleaning quality and ensuring security on site. You will supervise a team, set up rooms for lets and report issues to management.

Location: Forth Primary School, Main Street, Forth, ML11 8AE

Hours: 15 hours per week on a term time basis (You will work 7.5 hours as Cleaning Supervisor and 7.5 hours as Cleaner)

Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm

Hourly Rate: Cleaner £13.80 per hour and Cleaning Supervisor £14.12 - £14.27 per hour

The successful candidate will carry out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls etc. You will also be required to monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulation, reporting any difficult issues to management.

You will be responsible for setting up rooms for lets and being the responsible person on site for reporting health and safety issues.

Supervision of a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including assisting with training; recruitment & selection; maximising attendance; team brief etc.

To carry out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls.

To ensure the security of the building is maintained, and act as a key-holder as required.

Monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations, reporting any difficult issues to management.
