Job summary

TRL, a world-leading software and services provider for transport and mobility, is seeking an experienced Collision Investigator to join the Forensic Investigations team. The role is part-time (ideally 20 hours per week) and UK-wide, with duties including peer review of reports, exploring alternative investigation methods, and supporting the team with quality improvements.

The ideal candidate will have engineering or automotive qualifications or extensive collision investigation experience, plus

Qualifications

• Qualifications or extensive relevant experience in collision investigation and vehicle examination.
• Knowledge of key principles of collision investigation and developments within the discipline.
• Qualified and experienced in forensic analysis of video and able to demonstrate competence in using a range of analysis techniques.
• Experience reviewing others' technical work and explaining feedback constructively, resolving issues.
• Knowledge of Expert Witness roles and Civil/Criminal Procedure Rules in England/Wales.

Responsibilities

• Carry out peer reviews of technical reports, checking accuracy and quality of expert reports.
• Identify alternative scenarios, methods of investigation or research for validation.
• Coach and mentor team members and participate in quality management reviews.
