Job summary

Davies is seeking a Forensic Engineer Collision Investigator (Midlands/South). The role is full-time, home-based with travel across the South Midlands and South England. You will investigate collisions and prepare court-compliant reports as part of a growing GB&B team.

The ideal candidate has a scientific/engineering background, driving licence and willingness to travel; court attendance may be necessary and some qualifications are desirable for progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific, engineering or physics-related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Incorporated/Chartered Engineer status is desirable (e.g., MIET, IEng, CEng).
• Full clean driving licence (Category B) is required or highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to assess damage patterns and condition.
• Analyse vehicle data and document evidence for reports.
• Review documentary evidence and statements; prepare impartial technical reports.
• Attend court as expert witness when required.
