Job summary

West Nottinghamshire College Group is seeking a progression, transitions and achievement coach to manage gathering transition information, support new students into college, and ensure they choose the right course and stay on track for success.

The role employs a youth-work approach to deliver an assertiveness mentoring model that guides learners toward further study or employment, while building motivation and strong communication at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people/adults in a support situation is essential.
• Experience embedding values such as Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Compassion and Ambition.
• Excellent motivational and communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Gather transition information and support new students to choose the right course.
• Help students stay in learning, achieve and progress to further study or employment.
• Deliver an assertiveness mentoring model for positive, timely progress.
