Job summary

Fintellect Recruitment Limited is assisting a reputable UK financial services group in appointing an experienced Recoveries Specialist to manage a portfolio of personal and commercial accounts through the recovery process. You will maximise recoveries, minimise losses and strive for fair customer outcomes.

The role involves negotiating repayment plans, coordinating with solicitors and insolvency practitioners, and ensuring robust case records and compliance across activites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Collections or Recoveries department.
• Good working knowledge of CRM and data systems, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manipulate information databases.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of defaulted accounts.
• Contacting customers through varied channels.
• Assessing individual circumstances and setting recovery strategies.
• Negotiating repayment arrangements, settlements and resolutions.
• Supporting asset recovery, repossessions and enforcement activity.
• Working with solicitors, insolvency practitioners, recovery agents, valuers and auction houses.
• Supporting litigation and insolvency cases including bankruptcies and IVAs.
• Maintaining accurate case records and producing reports.
• Identifying risks, trends and opportunities to improve recovery performance.
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and company requirements.

Our client is an established, reputable Financial Services Group who provide specialist business banking solutions to the UK SME market. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Recoveries Specialist. As a Recoveries Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of personal and commercial accounts that will require support throughout the recovery process to maximise recoveries, minimise losses and achieve fair customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate case records and producing portfolio and management information.
• Identifying risks, trends and opportunities to improve recovery performance.
• Ensuring every action complies with legal, regulatory and company requirements.

Skills and experience required:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Collections or Recoveries department
• Team player who is also proactive, self-motivated and has a strong work ethic.
• Demonstrable professional integrity.
• A good working knowledge of CRM and data systems, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to manipulate information databases.
