Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Swindon is seeking a Collection and Network Driver on a fixed term contract. The role involves delivering items on your route, collecting mail, and ensuring timely drop-offs at processing centres while upholding Royal Mail standards.

You'll drive a route, check post-boxes, visit post offices, and support customers in all weather. A full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required, with a supportive team and training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to walk long distances and work outdoors in any weather.
• Strong sense of community and take pride in what you do.
• Flexible shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all items on your route, including handling election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Check post-boxes and visit post offices as part of your route.
• Collect mail from customers and drop off at processing centres as required.
• Sort mailbags and ensure each piece reaches the right place at the right time.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
