Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Horsham is looking for a Collections Driver on a permanent contract. You will join a team delivering and collecting mail, with duties including checking post boxes, visiting offices, and collecting items on a route.

Hours are 20 per week, across five days (Mon-Fri) between 14:30 and 18:30. You must hold a full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather. We offer pension, generous holidays and discounts.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to lift and carry mailbags.
• Excellent time-management and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items on your route securely, including election materials.
• Check post-boxes, collect mail and drop off at processing centres.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct delivery routing.
• Provide friendly service and maintain high attendance and punctuality.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
