Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide in Chelmsford is seeking a Delivery Driver on a permanent contract. 38 hours per week with overtime opportunities, starting salary £25,201 rising to £27,561 after six months and up to £30,000 with overtime.

You will sort parcels, plan routes, perform vehicle safety checks and deliver to homes and businesses, working Wed-Fri 08:42-16:42 and Sat 07:00-15:00, with weekend premiums and allowances.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (Cat B) valid at your current address.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg.
• Friendly, dependable and customer focused.

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year £12.71 per hour
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Saturday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) applied to contracted hours
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:-
• Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
• Weekly Driving Allowance (£26.73 weekly)

What You'll Be Doing

• Sorting parcels and planning efficient delivery routes
• Carrying out essential vehicle safety checks
• Collecting and delivering parcels to homes and businesses
• Providing a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail

What We're Looking For

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
• Looking for a stable, long-term role in a growing organisation
